Active Doctor Who Related Communities on Dreamwidth

morepolitics: A fandom fest for the Big Finish audio series Gallifrey, and the Big Finish audio series and Virgin books about Bernice Summerfield.
torchwood_fest: A year round Torchwood Fanfic Fest
who_at_50: A place for fans to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who in whatever way seems right to them
who_allsorts: Bite-sized prompt tables for Doctor Who fic
who_guestfest: Minor Characters ficathon
who_straybunnies: For abandoned plot bunnies, random prompts and other unused Whoniverse fic ideas


Active Communities that welcome Whoniverse content while not having it as a primary focus include:

crossovers: Crossover fiction from across the universe
fandom_on_dw: providing a clearing house and calendar of Dreamwidth hosted (or mirrored) fandom-participation opportunities.
fandomcalendar: A hub for the dazed and confused who always notice that More Joy Day (or International Blog Against Racism Week, or Yuletide sign-ups...) happened two days ago while they were napping.
fandom_icons: Icons for all your different fandom needs.

For active comms that aren't who-specific but might be worth watching, how about fandom_on_dw and fandomcalendar which get a lot of the announcements, especially for ficathons/exchanges etc. that might be relevant to Who fans interests? (Or is it on the watch list but not this one? Sorry, if so!)

Thanks! I alos thought, since there isn't a dwicons over here, maybe also following fandom_icons to pick up Doctor Who icons there might be an idea? (Someone posted some today just when I was wondering whether it would be worth it or not, and I took it as a sign! :-D)
